With 55 dates on the schedule, she wore the Rock & Roll message across her chest – with the words emblazoned on her white T-shirt.

She’s playing in Washington D.C on Saturday before going to Orlando, Florida, on Tuesday.

The artist will conclude her tour on November 3 in her home country of Colombia; the last stop is in Bogota.

The tour was postponed from last year after she suffered a vocal chord  haemorrhage.

She said that she had enduring ‘the hardest months’ of her life in 2017 due to the vocal problems she suffered.

‘Many times I wondered why I was living so many obstacles. There were days that I did not want to get up. I have never thought I could lose my voice.

‘I thought I would lose other things in my life, but never my voice. When I found this situation, there were the hardest moments of my life.’

The singer has two children with her longtime partner, soccer player Gerard Pique, 31; sons Milan, five, and Sasha, three.

Shakira and Gerard began dating in 2011 and the lovebirds reside in Barcelona, Spain with their two children.
